Future Fintech

The University of Sydney Business School will host an event to foster bilateral relationships between practice and academia around the applications of new innovations for managing financial services. Fintech firms are distinguishable from the incumbent financial services companies by their use of technology to reimagine the products, services and capabilities of the traditional financial services sector.

The event will bring together academic, government and industry participants to network and exchange ideas on ways to develop questions and foster research agendas important to both academia and industry. The event will consist of a short presentation around possible scenarios outlining how fintech may develop in Australia in the coming years. Through interactive polling, we will then ask the audience to vote on the likelihood of each scenario. Our panel, made up of industry and academic experts, will then comment on the results.
