The Business of Gender Equality

Sep 3, 2020 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm AEST

It is well recognised that the COVID-19 pandemic has impacted every country and industry sector, however what impact has it had on gender equality? This year the Gender Pay Gap (GPG) measurement also included the months impacted by COVID-19. This webinar will highlight its impact. Join us as Janelle Weissman, Executive Director, UN Women Australia leads the discussion with Professor Rae Cooper AO and Dr Meraiah Foley to explore:

  • What COVID-19 did for women’s equality in Australia and the Asia-Pacific
  • Why we still measure the Gender Pay Gap
  • Which sectors are more dominated by one gender and why that might be
  • Their latest research findings from the Australian Working Women’s Futures project regarding young women’s and men’s experiences and expectations about work, and about work and family.

Format: 60 minute panel discussion with audience Q&A.
