Abstract:
Based on institutional escapism and resource dependence theory, this paper analyzes the rapid internationalization situation of firms in emerging markets represented by China, takes environmental factors as one of the driving forces of internationalization strategy response. We find that there is a positive relationship between environmental uncertainty and the speed of internationalization, at the same time, organizational slack and learning ability negatively moderate it. This study incorporates the time dimension into internationalization process from a dynamic perspective, combines the resource dependence theory focusing on the external environment with the internal resources and capabilities of firms.
