Abstract

Digital Transformation (DT) has become one of the oft-discussed issues of recent times, both in academic and practitioner circles. The rapidly growing body of literature on DT has provided us with useful knowledge about the definition, process and conditions of DT, among others. This talk would focus on presenting a brief overview of the state of the DT literature and highlighting some key understanding and assumptions that have characterized our thinking about DT. Based on this, I question some of the fundamental assumptions of DT derived from literature with the hope of stimulating discussion among the audience on what the next frontiers of DT could be.
