Dr Tea-makorn will share her expertise in machine learning methods such as regression, neural networks, clustering, computer vision, and natural language processing in an informal workshop with HDRs and ECRs.
She will also share knowledge on the application of these various research methods across a variety of contexts and actors (e.g., organisations, industries and sectors, employees vs. customers). The workshop will include a brief introduction to the concepts and applications, followed by hands-on activities using Google's Teachable Machine and Google Colaboratory. Attendees should bring a personal laptop or tablet. Python programming experience is a plus but not required.
Dr. Pinnaree Tea-makorn is a lecturer and AI Strategist at Sasin School of Management. Her expertise is in computational psychology, artificial intelligence, and data science. She is also the Artificial Intelligence Venture Partner at Vectors Capital, an early-stage climate tech venture capital in the San Francisco Bay Area. Prior to joining Sasin, Dr. Pinnaree interned in and provided technical consulting to startups in Silicon Valley and SEA, such as Qualcomm, Urban Engines, Ajaib, Edsy, etc. She is also the Research Director of Inter Data Recovery Co., Ltd. She received her Ph.D., M.S., and B.S. in electrical engineering from Stanford University. She was also awarded the King's Scholarship and gold medal from the International Chemistry Olympiad.
