Today’s business world is challenged by unprecedented global disruptions, such as pandemic and geopolitical tensions. Such global disruptions affect the nature of innovation in international business. Resilience, a capability to anticipate and cope with various kinds of disruptions in agile manners, has become crucial for multinational corporations (MNCs) to engage in innovation.
The main purpose of this research workshop is to explore new research opportunities on disruption and resilience in the context of global innovation. How can MNCs maintain global innovations under economic, geopolitical tensions? What are new sources of competitive advantage of firms in the age of global disruption? Building on current studies on disruptions and innovation, we will explore our thoughts on promising research agenda and approaches on global innovation management.
