The Sydney Employment Relations Research Group and the Discipline of Work and Organisational Studies invite you to this seminar by Joseph Catanzariti AM, Vice President of the Fair Work Commission. Joe will reflect on his role with the Fair Work Commission over 11 years, including some of the significant matters he has been involved with and what he believes are the attributes needed for a good decision maker. Joe has had primary responsibility for a number of non-judicial functions that he will reflect upon, including professional development and performance. Besides reflections on his experiences as a senior member of the Fair Work Commission, Joe will discuss how his previous business skills guided him and why he believes it is essential that every court and tribunal should have a senior judicial officer with those skills.
