The Sydney International Business Competition (SIBC) is Australia's premier global case competition for undergraduate students from leading universities around the world. Hosted by the Sydney Consulting Club with the support of the University of Sydney Business School, SIBC challenges participants to develop innovative and practical solutions to real-world business problems while experiencing the vibrant culture and iconic setting of Sydney, Australia.
SIBC brings together exceptional student teams from participating international universities to collaborate, compete and present their strategic recommendations to industry professionals and business leaders. The competition culminates in final presentations and an awards ceremony celebrating excellence in critical thinking, creativity and business acumen.
SIBC 2026 marks the competition's eighth edition. It continues to foster global connections, professional growth and a spirit of innovation among the next generation of business leaders. The 2026 competition will take place from 19 to 24 July, offering a dynamic and immersive week of case analysis, cultural exchange and unforgettable experiences in the heart of Sydney.
The competition consists of two business case challenges designed to test analytical thinking, teamwork and presentation skills.
Teams will present their recommendations for each case to expert judging panels. Performance across both challenges determines the overall rankings, with the competition concluding at the Closing Ceremony where the SIBC champions are announced.
The Sydney International Business Competition brings together outstanding undergraduate teams from leading universities across the Asia-Pacific region, Europe and North America. Each institution is represented by four students and a Faculty Advisor who compete throughout the week while building lasting international connections.
