The Sydney International Business Competition (SIBC) is Australia's premier global case competition designed for undergraduate students from leading universities across the world. Hosted by the Sydney Consulting Club with the support of the University of Sydney Business School, SIBC challenges participants to develop innovative and practical solutions to real-world business problems while experiencing the vibrant culture and iconic backdrop of Sydney, Australia.
SIBC brings together exceptional student teams from participating international universities to Sydney where they collaborate, compete, and present their strategic recommendations to industry professionals and business leaders. The competition culminates in a final presentation and awards ceremony, celebrating excellence in critical thinking, creativity, and business acumen.
SIBC in 2026 marks the competition's eighth instalment. It continues to foster global connections, professional growth, and a spirit of innovation among the next generation of business leaders. The 2026 edition of SIBC will take place from 19 July to 24 July, offering a dynamic and immersive week of case cracking, cultural exchange, and unforgettable experiences in the heart of Sydney, Australia.
The competition will be split into 2 cases:
During their respective presentations, teams in each event will be judged to determine their rankings. The final winners will be announced at the closing ceremony at the end of the competition.
The Sydney International Business Competition welcomes Business School's from around the world to participate and showcase their students’ skills on a global stage.
