Flora is currently writing a book entitled Work and the Quest for Social Justice. This research project builds on her work over the last three decades at the University of Sydney. Specifically, this project brings together three core themes: Methodology, the Economics of Work and Social Justice. It is her hope that the book will provide a sound intellectual framework for those who wish to argue for social justice. The fundamental premise of the project is that Economics cannot inform social policy and social justice concerns meaningfully by going it alone. Rather, it must admit analytical insights from a range of social science disciplines, and dispense with the exclusive reliance on the rod of money.
