Michelle Brady joined the School in 2019 and prior to this worked as a Research Fellow and Lecturer in Sociology at the University of Queensland.
Michelle received her PhD in Sociology in 2011 and her Masters of Arts in 2006 both from the University of Alberta. Her research focuses on how policy shapes families' experiences of reconciling work and family obligations and how this is evolving with the changing nature of employment. She has been a CI on Government evaluations of In Home Childcare and the Dad and Partner Pay Scheme and a Lead CI of a Discovery Project on Addressing childcare flexibility. She is currently working on women's experiences in male dominated occupations.
