Bio

Parinaz obtained her Bachelor and Master degrees in economics and econometrics and her PhD degree in applied financial econometrics. She has professional work experience in international research institutions, as well as in academic teaching and research at several top-tier universities since 2008.

Parinaz has received several prestigious Australian research scholarships as well as numerous Commendations for Excellence in Teaching Awards from the Dean of the Business School at The University of Sydney and some other top-tier universities as a Lecturer and Unit-Coordinator in econometrics and applied financial econometrics units.

Parinaz is granted an Exchange Visiting Scholar position at the University of California San Diego and currently works with the Business Analytics Discipline as a Lecturer and Coordinator of the tutors.

Research Interests

Parinaz’s main areas of research is in applied financial econometrics, with specialty in modeling of financial time series, analysis of financial market integration and volatility spillover effects, and monetary policy modeling. She is currently working on modern time series modeling. She is also interested in health economics. Painaz has solid work experience with MicroFit, Eviews, GAUSS, STATA, R, SPSS, COMFAR, LaTex, and dXtime database.
