The fifth annual joint research symposium of the Co-ops NSW and the University of Sydney Business School’s Co-operatives Research Group will explore the life and legacy of Dr. Gary Lewis, who passed away earlier this year. Dr. Gary Lewis was the doyen of Australian co-operative history with publications that include path breaking studies of consumer co-operatives, credit unions and agricultural co-operatives. His research is crucial for co-operative public policy, education and historical inquiry.
