Welcome to SIBC 2026

The Sydney International Business Competition brings together university teams from around the world for an intensive week of case analysis, presentations, professional development and cultural exchange. Across two major business cases, competitors will apply their knowledge, creativity and teamwork to real-world challenges before presenting their recommendations to expert judging panels.

SIBC 2026 week overview

The six-day program combines two competitive case challenges with opportunities for teams to explore Sydney, build international connections and celebrate their achievements.

Day1

Sunday 19 July

Welcome and opening ceremony

Teams arrive in Sydney, meet their buddies and come together for the official opening of SIBC 2026.

Day2

Monday 20 July

Six-hour case

The first competition challenge tests each team’s ability to analyse a business problem and develop a compelling recommendation under time pressure.

Day3

Tuesday 21 July

Sydney social day

Teams step away from the case rooms to experience Sydney with their buddies and take part in the SIBC social challenge.

  • Dinner with buddies
Day4

Wednesday 22 July

Twenty-four-hour case release

The major case challenge begins as teams investigate a complex real-world problem and prepare their strategy overnight.

  • Dinner delivered to team rooms
Day5

Thursday 23 July

Twenty-four-hour case submission

Teams complete and submit their recommendations before using the afternoon to recover, rehearse and prepare for the final presentation day.

Day6

Friday 24 July

Presentations and closing ceremony

Teams present their twenty-four-hour case solutions, with the strongest teams advancing to the final before the competition champions are announced.
